Add Your Status in Outlook using Teams

Do you want Outlook to show your status as online, busy, or offline?

Follow the steps below to allow your status show up in Outlook:

1. On the upper right corner of Teams, click on the ellipsis (...) next to your photo or initials
2. Then click Settings
   
   
    
3. Under the General tab, in the System area, check the box “Register the new Teams as the chat app for Microsoft 365”. You will have to restart all office apps for it take effect. Alternatively, you can restart your computer. 
   
   
    

Note: Teams status is not tied to Zoom status. Someone may show available in Outlook or Teams and be in a Zoom meeting.
