Why should you use a Zendesk account?
Having a Zendesk account offers several advantages for users seeking support. With an account, you can monitor the progress of your current open tickets and easily review previous tickets for solutions to issues you may have already encountered. This streamlined access eliminates the need to sift through numerous emails searching for the message sent after your ticket was submitted.
DES recommends logging into your Zendesk account to create and manage tickets. This ensures account security, verification, and access to helpful knowledge base articles for resolving issues independently.
DES Employees
If you are a DES Employee, you will log in to Zendesk using Single Sign-On. The steps below will assist you with logging in using SSO.
- Access DES Support Center using this link: https://desitsupport4u.des.wa.gov.
NOTE: Did you know you also have a shortcut on your desktop called DES Support Center? Use the shortcut to quickly gain access to DES Support Center (Zendesk).
- Once you have accessed DES Support Center, click Sign in in the upper right-hand corner.
- The Sign in screen will have two options. DES Employees will click Continue with EntraID SSO.
- Click on your @des.wa.gov account to proceed with Single Sign on.
- Multi-factor authentication is required for all DES accounts. If you have setup the Authenticator app on your work or personal mobile phone, you will receive the screen below. Use the code you see on the screen to approve your sign in with the Authenticator app.
- If you do not use the Microsoft Authenticator app, click Active Directory on the next screen.
- Enter the login credentials you use to log in to your DES account (email address and password).
- Click Sign in and you will be redirected to DES Support Center (Zendesk). You will now see your Zendesk profile, tickets you have created and have access to submit a request or access all DES knowledge bases.
All Others (Government Agencies, Cities, Schools)
- Access DES Support Center using this link: https://desitsupport4u.des.wa.gov. Click the Sign in link at the top right-hand side of the page.
- Click the link labeled Sign up located after New to DES Support Center?

Enter your Full Name and email address and click Sign up.
- You will receive a pop up telling you to Check your email.
- Open the email from support@itsupport4u.zendesk.com titled Activate account for DES Support Center. Click Activate account. Enter your name and create a password (following the requirements).

Click Set password and you will be redirected to the DES IT Support page and automatically logged in.
Password tip
- The password will not expire but if you forget the password, you can go back to the Sign-In page and click Forgot Password.
