Our IT Team is a cross-functional team that supports, protects, and consults DES on all things related your IT security, data, and IT policy needs. We ensure DES is following State IT policies and standards including proper IT access controls and data handling to meet regulatory requirements.  Our team manages operational security to keep our agency technology and data resources and assets safe.

Scope of Services

  • IT Security Consultants: Provide assist with planning, requirement gathering, application compliance and security design assessment for all your IT software and device needs.
  • IT Security Operations: Investigate incident activities, employing a full range of investigative strategies to identify system vulnerabilities, agency risks, intrusions and data breeches. Recommend appropriate and cost-effective solutions that can be applied across your program.
  • IT Security Audits & Compliance: Conduct regular security audits, evaluate effectiveness of security measures, provide training and easy to follow security guidance to ensure standards are being adhered to across our agency.

Scope of Services

  • IT Policy and procedures: Create, update and train on IT policy changes. Provide analyses of policies to allow informed decision making based on an understanding of current vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Agency Records Officer: Serves as agency liaison to the Secretary of State, State Archives and represents the agency for related to information data management. Coordinates records management program for the agency and maintains inventory of records and information assets.
  • IT Data Privacy: Collaborate with DES business programs and IT leaders to ensure the organization has and maintains appropriate IT privacy consent, authorization forms, and information notices and materials reflecting current compliance requirements and best practices.
